The second EuMGA Summit successfully brought together healthcare professionals, medical and scientific researchers, pharmaceutical representatives, patient associations, and other key stakeholders from across Europe.
The EuMGA Summit consists of two intensive days of collaboration and learning, with a strong focus on the importance of MG advocacy and strategies to support those affected by MG around Europe. The gathering of passionate individuals inspires, encourages, and energizes attendees, serving as a reminder to all that we are not alone and we are indeed stronger together.
First Day
Presentations
This year, attendees enjoyed sessions at the Institute of Myology, where Annie Archer (AFM-Téléthon), Alexandre Méjat, Jean-Yves Hogrel, Rosen Le Panse, and Audrey El Kaim all gave presentations. They showcased the role of the AFM-Téléthon Myasthenia peer-support group, the research carried out at the Institute (both scientific and medical), and how innovation can also be applied to the assessment of clinical trials.
Vinciane Quoidbach presented “Rethinking Myasthenia Gravis Care through a Brain Health Lens: Adaptive Pathways and Patient-Centred Insights,” which highlighted the importance of patient-centred insights.
Second Day
Presentations
The Young MG Patient presentation allowed for young people living with MG, from different countries across Europe, to share their unique experiences and perspectives with all attendees. This collaboration between young people demonstrates the beauty and importance of community for those living with MG as well as those working to raise awareness and support people living with MG.
As an umbrella association, EuMGA strives to support and uplift the work of all national patient associations and organisations across Europe. There was time specifically dedicated to members to present their national initiatives; some of the members were from the Greek, Spanish, French, and Finnish associations. These talks highlighted the strong network we are building across Europe.
Workshops
The summit also included interactive workshops such as “How to Avoid Redundancies and Strengthen Outcomes: Quick wins and Long-Term Goals,” which foster learning and start important conversations between attendees from diverse sectors.

Workshops on the Second Day
Some of the national patient associations also set up informational tables with resources and materials about their work, which encouraged conversations between organisations and encouraged cross-country collaboration and support.

Post-Summit Reflection
The shared experiences of learning together as a group make attendees feel connected and empowered with knowledge, with each presentation touching on a different facet of MG in Europe.
EuMGA is grateful to everyone who participated in this successful summit, from sponsors and supporters to members and attendees; this event brought together so many passionate individuals from different backgrounds and sectors.
In the end, this summit was a reminder of what matters most: the connections, the people, and our shared purpose. EuMGA is empowered and encouraged to continue making a positive change in the lives of those impacted by MG across Europe.
